Day 1 — Chengdu • Wolong Panda Base • Mount Siguniang

Leave Chengdu and travel west into the mountains of Western Sichuan. Visit Wolong Panda Base, where rescued giant pandas live in a spacious semi-wild environment surrounded by their natural mountain habitat.
Continue across Balang Mountain Pass and arrive at Maobiliang Viewing Platform in the late afternoon for one of the best sunset viewpoints overlooking the magnificent peaks of Mount Siguniang.

Day 2 — Shuangqiao Valley • Jiaju Tibetan Village
Distance / Time: Approx. 120 km / 2.5 hrs driving

Explore Shuangqiao Valley by shuttle bus and enjoy an easy 3–4 hour hike through alpine forests, mountain lakes, wildflower meadows, glacier scenery, and peaceful yak pastures surrounded by snow peaks.
Continue to Jiaju Tibetan Village, recognised as one of China’s most beautiful villages, where traditional white Tibetan houses are scattered across terraced hillsides overlooking the valley.

Day 3 — Jiaju Tibetan Village • Yala Snow Mountain • Tagong Grasslands
Distance / Time: Approx. 110 km / 3 hrs driving
Altitude: Tagong approx. 3,300 m

Enjoy morning views over Jiaju Tibetan Village before continuing toward Yala Snow Mountain. Hike through forests, streams, and alpine meadows beneath the spectacular snow-covered peak, with a picnic lunch surrounded by mountain scenery.
Continue onto the wide-open Tagong Grasslands, where traditional Tibetan pastoral landscapes stretch beneath Yala Snow Mountain. Optional horseback riding is available for those who want a deeper grassland experience.

Day 4 — Muya Temple • Xinduqiao Photography Paradise

Visit Muya Grand Temple in Tagong and experience the peaceful atmosphere of Tibetan Buddhist culture. The surrounding grasslands and mountain scenery create a beautiful setting for photography and cultural exploration.
Continue through Xinduqiao, known as the “Photography Paradise of Western Sichuan,” with scenic stops for Tibetan villages, grazing yaks, mountain views, and plateau landscapes. Wildlife such as Tibetan foxes, marmots, and wild birds may also be spotted along the way.

Day 5 — Kangding • Honghaizi Lake • Chengdu

Begin the return journey through Kangding along one of Western Sichuan’s most scenic mountain highways. Enjoy views of valleys, rivers, forests, and surrounding snow peaks as you gradually descend from the plateau.
Stop at Honghaizi Lake for final photography opportunities before returning to Chengdu and concluding your Western Sichuan adventure.
