Day 1 — Arrival in Chengdu

Arrive in Chengdu and settle into Sichuan’s relaxed capital city before beginning the culinary journey across the region.

In the evening, experience your first introduction to Sichuan cuisine with a traditional hotpot dinner surrounded by the lively atmosphere of Chengdu’s local dining culture.

Day 2 — Food, Tea & Local Life in Chengdu

Explore Chengdu’s spice markets and local food streets while learning how Sichuan cuisine is shaped through ingredients, aroma, and regional cooking traditions.

Join a hands-on cooking experience in a local dining space before visiting Wenshu Monastery and experiencing traditional tea culture at Heming Teahouse. End the evening with a street food and “fly restaurant” exploration through Chengdu’s hidden dining scenes.

Day 3 — Chengdu to Leshan

Travel south toward Leshan while discovering regional food traditions shaped by river culture and local culinary history.

Explore Suji Old Town and taste the famous qiaojiao beef before visiting the UNESCO-listed Leshan Giant Buddha. In the evening, discover Leshan’s vibrant local food scene around Zhanggongqiao food street.

Day 4 — Zigong Salt Culture & Luzhou Baijiu Traditions

Continue deeper into Sichuan’s culinary history with a visit to Zigong, one of China’s most important historical salt production centers.

Explore ancient salt wells and learn how salt shaped trade, preservation, and flavor throughout the region before continuing to Luzhou for a visit to the historic Luzhou Laojiao baijiu distillery — one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the world.

Day 5 — Departure from Luzhou

Enjoy a final Sichuan breakfast before transferring to the airport with guide assistance.

Depart with a deeper understanding of Sichuan cuisine, regional food culture, tea traditions, and the craftsmanship behind one of China’s most influential culinary regions.

  • Customized or private tours require a 50% deposit after itinerary confirmation.
  • The remaining balance is payable upon arrival before the tour starts.

  • More than 30 days before departure: Full refund
  • 15–29 days before departure: 70% refund
  • 7–14 days before departure: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before departure: No refund

Travelers are responsible for ensuring valid passports, visas, and travel documents before departure.

Some services, including permits, transportation tickets, and hotel reservations, may be non-refundable once confirmed.
