Day 1 — Chengdu • Wawushan Mountain

Altitude: Chengdu 500 m → Wawushan area

Meet at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport or designated location and depart for Wawushan, one of Sichuan’s most famous birding destinations. After arrival, begin a relaxed afternoon birding session around the hotel area.

Become familiar with the local forest environment and prepare for the following days of intensive bird and wildlife observation.

Day 2 — Wawushan Birding & Red Panda Search

Spend a full day exploring Wawushan, known as one of the best locations in China for observing parrotbills. Search the mountain forests for Dark-rumped Parrotbill, Three-toed Parrotbill, Red-billed Parrotbill, and other specialized forest birds.

Continue exploring different habitats while looking for Red Panda and other wildlife species that inhabit the ancient forests of Wawushan.

Continue searching for mammals including Sichuan Takin, Asian Black Bear, Leopard Cat, Serow, Musk Deer, and Red Panda depending on conditions.

Day 6 — Tangjiahe Full-day Wildlife Safari
