Train with an Emei Kung Fu Inheritor

Train directly with Wang Hu, a representative inheritor of Emei Kung Fu. Learn fundamental stances, footwork, techniques and movement sequences through hands-on training adapted to your ability.

Experience the Tradition of Emei Kung Fu

Discover the culture behind Emei Kung Fu through traditional apprenticeship customs and several days of progressive practice. Rather than watching a performance, you experience how the martial art is taught, practiced and passed from master to student.

Learn Mountain Herbal Knowledge

Follow Wang Hu into the mountains to identify local medicinal plants such as He Shou Wu, Huang Jing, Smilax and Mugwort. Learn about their traditional uses and, when seasonal conditions allow, gather selected herbs as part of the experience.

Explore the Mountain Behind the Tradition

Between training sessions, explore Mt. Emei through forest trails, Qingyin Pavilion, the Ecological Monkey Zone, Luomu Ancient Town and the 3,077-metre Golden Summit — connecting Kung Fu with the mountain landscape and local culture where the tradition has developed.

Day 1 — Chengdu → Leshan → Mt. Emei

Altitude: Chengdu approx. 500 m → Mt. Emei foothills
Stay: Yixi Qingyin

Leave Chengdu for the Leshan Giant Buddha before continuing into Mt. Emei, the mountain landscape at the heart of the journey ahead.

Settle near Qingyin Pavilion and ease into the surroundings with Emei tea and a gentle evening walk among forests and streams.

Day 2 — Experience Mt. Emei → Golden Summit

Altitude: Golden Summit 3,077 m
Challenging Option: Approx. 10–12 hrs hiking
Relaxed Option: Light walking · Sightseeing bus · Cable car

Spend the day discovering the mountain environment surrounding Emei’s living traditions.

Choose a challenging ascent through forest paths, temples and changing elevations, or take the gentler route combining scenic transport with light walking.

Both routes eventually lead to the 3,077 m Golden Summit, revealing the scale and landscape of one of China’s most famous sacred mountains.
