Tibetan Culture Without Tibet Permit Restrictions

Experience Tibetan highland culture, monasteries, landscapes, and daily life without entering the Tibet Autonomous Region or requiring a Tibet travel permit.

Day 1 — Chengdu to Four Girls Mountain

Depart Chengdu and gradually ascend into the mountain landscapes of western Sichuan through Wolong and the high-altitude Balang Mountain Pass.

Weather permitting, enjoy panoramic cloud and snow mountain scenery before arriving at Four Girls Mountain. In the afternoon, explore Changping Valley surrounded by alpine forests, glaciers, and dramatic mountain peaks.

Day 2 — Four Girls Mountain to Huiyuan Temple & Bamei

Continue westward through highland valleys and Tibetan regions toward Danba County, passing traditional Tibetan villages and remote plateau scenery along the route.

Visit Huiyuan Temple, a historic Tibetan monastery connected to the 11th Dalai Lama, before continuing toward Bamei surrounded by quieter plateau landscapes and Tibetan pastoral regions.

Day 3 — Bamei, Daofu & Ganzi County

Cross remote Tibetan regions through Daofu and Luhuo, traveling across wide grasslands, mountain valleys, prayer flag landscapes, and hidden plateau villages scattered across the highlands.

Day 4 — Ganzi, Xinlong & Litang

Visit the Ganzi Monastery viewpoint beneath Kawa Lhari Snow Mountain before continuing through Xinlong County and quieter plateau valleys hidden deep within western Sichuan.

Explore the secluded Cuoka Lake before arriving in Litang, where high-altitude grasslands, Tibetan culture, and dramatic plateau scenery surround one of the world’s highest towns.

Day 5 — Mount Genie & Litang Highlands

Continue toward the sacred landscapes surrounding Mount Genie, one of Tibetan Buddhism’s revered holy mountains hidden deep within western Sichuan’s remote highlands.

Surrounded by glaciers, grasslands, and dramatic mountain scenery, the region offers some of the most cinematic high-altitude landscapes on the eastern Tibetan Plateau.

Day 6 — Tagong & 360° Snow Mountain Viewpoints

Travel toward Tagong Town and visit Tagong Monastery together with the Muya Buddhist Academy surrounded by Tibetan grasslands, prayer flags, and mountain scenery.

In the evening, head to Balang Shengdu Village for panoramic views of Yala Snow Mountain and Mount Gongga under sunset conditions if weather permits.

Day 7 — Return to Chengdu

Begin the return journey eastward through Kangding and the mountain roads connecting the Tibetan Plateau with the Sichuan Basin.

Arrive back in Chengdu in the evening, completing a highland expedition through some of western China’s most remote Tibetan cultural landscapes.

Scheduled tours require a 30% deposit to confirm the booking.
Customized or private tours require a 50% deposit after itinerary confirmation.
The remaining balance is payable upon arrival before the tour starts.

More than 30 days before departure: Full refund
15–29 days before departure: 70% refund
7–14 days before departure: 50% refund
Less than 7 days before departure: No refund

Travelers are responsible for ensuring valid passports, visas, and travel documents before departure.

Some services, including permits, transportation tickets, and hotel reservations, may be non-refundable once confirmed.
